The film

How a frame is made

Six steps and four weeks.

01 The result

We start from the end

Before anything is cut we agree how it should sit on your face. The rest is worked out backwards.

02 The measure

Three numbers taken from your face

Lens width, bridge and temple are measured in the studio, to the millimetre. A stock frame has already chosen them for you.

03 The cut

One single sheet

The front comes out of one sheet of Italian acetate. No joins, no weak points.

04 The finish

Polishing is done by hand

Three passes of compound and a felt wheel. This is where acetate gets its depth of colour.

05 The lenses

Lenses centred on your pupils

We fit them after measuring pupil distance and height. Half a millimetre off axis is what you feel by evening.

06 The handover

The last adjustment is on your face

Temples and pads are set while you wear them. Come back whenever you like: adjustments are included.

Every frame carries three measurements. Here they are yours.

A stock frame fits everyone, which means no one

Made on you

In the studio we measure your face, choose shape and acetate together, and build the frame around those numbers.

A bespoke frame does not slide down your nose or pinch behind your ears. The lenses work where they should, and by evening you forget you are wearing it.

  • Measured to the millimetre

Lens width, bridge, temple, pupil distance and height. Taken in the studio with your face in front of us, not from a photo.

  • Italian acetate

Sheets of seasoned cellulose acetate in more than forty colours. It polishes, it can be repaired and it lasts for years.

  • Adjustments included

A loose screw or a temple that needs setting is fixed at the bench, in ten minutes, with no appointment.

Three measurements

The numbers nobody ever asked you for

They are printed inside every temple. Move the sliders and watch the same frame change.

The people who wear them every day

Four people, four faces, four different problems.

  • I have worn glasses for twenty years and they always marked my nose. These do not. It is the bridge, and they showed me why with the caliper in hand.

    Marta L.June 2026

  • I picked a tortoiseshell sheet I had never seen in a shop. Four weeks later it was on my face, and it stays put when I run after the children.

    Giorgio P.July 2026

  • Progressives made me queasy. They measured my pupil height again and redid the centration. Now I read and drive with the same pair.

    Elena R.August 2026

  • I came back after two months to tighten a temple. Ten minutes at the bench, a coffee, nothing to pay.

Try them on from your sofa

We are building virtual try-on. You point your camera at your face and see the studio's shapes on you, before you come in to be measured.
