A studio, not a shop

We opened in April 2026 in via Argiro, Bari. One room for measuring, one for eye care and a bench behind the glass.

Why Acqua Viva

The name

Acqua viva is spring water: clear because it moves. It seemed the right way to say what a pair of lenses should do.

And we are in a city by the sea, where the light changes every hour and your eyes know it.

The bench

We make them where we measure

Most opticians order frames from a catalogue and send lenses to an outside lab. It is a model that works.

We chose to keep the making in the studio. The person who measures you is the one who cuts, polishes and fits.

  • Workbench in plain view
  • One person from start to finish
  • By appointment, no queue

The rules we do not bend

There are few, and they apply to everyone.

  • We do not sell on first sight

The first visit ends with a written quote. You sign another day.

  • We do not cut without a prototype

A shape drawn from scratch is tried on before we touch the acetate.

  • We do not hand over without adjusting

The frame leaves the studio on your face, not in a bag.
